Proquest

The procedure for adding a link to GODOT to Proquest is as follows:

If no 'Library Holdings' file has been set up for your account then you will get the message 'No Library Holdings Found'. To get a file set up, you will want to contact Customer Service at 800-521-0600 ext. 2971.

If you have more than one 'Library Holdings' file, then you will be prompted to choose the one for which you want to configure the link.

Please note that 'Library Holdings Files' is a somewhat misleading name as you are configuring a link, not uploading holdings information.

  • Click on 'Add a New CrossLink'

  • Click 'Custom' under 'Select Type' at the top of the page

  • Type 'Godot' in 'Local Administrator Label'

  • Select 'All ProQuest titles (including Reference Collections)'

  • For 'URL' use:
    http://godot.lib.sfu.ca/GODOT/hold_tab.cgi
    ?sid=proquest:proquest&genre=article&aulast=
    <AUTHOR>&atitle=<TITLE>&issn=
    <ISSN>&issue=<ISSUE>&date=
    <DATE>&spage=<SPAGE>&pid=STYPE=
    <STYPE>&DOCID=<DOCID>&title=
    <PUBNAME>&volume=<VOLUME>

    This needs to be cut and pasted into one line.

  • For 'Link Text:' type in a text label if you are not uploading a graphic. If you are using a graphic, type '.' in 'Link Text'

  • For 'Custom Logo URL:' type the address of your Godot link image if desired

  • For 'Enter alt text' type the alt text for your Godot link image

  • Click 'Done' at the bottom of the page
